Studio &Olivijn

Loes van Els practices design with her creative studio &Olivijn in St Marten, Arnhem. With her artistic design research she develops texture & colour palettes and playful visual identities. Different outcomes turning into products, spaces, illustrations and textiles.

After graduating in 2016 at the Design Academy Eindhoven, Loes started working as textile product developer and visual storyteller at the studio of a lively carpet factory in the Netherlands. In collaboration with the studio she developed  over 450 different rugs. Continously working with colours, textures, patterns and manufacturing processes.

In 2021 she started her own studio: Loes & Olivijn
In her practice Loes finds the story the ideas of how people connect with their environment and products are essential. In that dialogue she functions as the interpretor to the visual desires of her clients. Merging manual techniques and automated processes is a big part of her approach. Taking form of finished and semi-finished products.
